17 year old photographer Kevin Corrado recently shot a series of photographs that capture the moodiness of gray skies, fading horizons, deserted beaches and quiet forests. Still, Kevin Corrado is not exclusively concerned with nature though.
Throughout the series, the photographer employs the surrealist technique of casting objects into vaguely related settings, leaving the viewer to figure out the connection.
Indeed, in many of these photographs, Kevin Corrado places only a few key objects -- or parts of objects -- into the frame. One photograph features an umbrella in the top right of the foreground held by an arm sticking out from a picture from while another arm, also sticking out from a frame holds a briefcase; towards the bottom of the foreground, Kevin Corrado places yet another frame with legs popping out from it. Between all these limbs there is only air. Kevin Corrado encourages the viewer to read between the lines.
