The Happier Meals Challenged Top Chefs to Make a Big Mac
The Grid Toronto asked four Toronto chefs to reinvent the Big Mac and fries combo into a five-star delight with their Happier Meals challenge.
The Happier Meals challenge called upon Local Kitchen’s Fabio Bondi, Campagnolo’s Craig Harding and Nigel French, The Drake's Anthony Rose and Aravind's Raj and Aravind Kozhikott; suffice it to say, the results were stunning.
The catch for the challenge? Competing chefs could use only ingredients that the Big Mac combo had, asides from oil and water.
In the final results, the chefs each had a unique take on the fast-food meal. From The Drake's Birthday Surprise to Local Kitchen’s McLumi Platter to Campagnolo’s Big Mac All’Americana, and lastly, Aravind’s Open-Faced Samosas, these chef creations had managed to truly make Happier Meals than the traditional McDonald's combo.
