Born and raised in the '90s, Vijay Mohan does his work with a Tamagotchi hanging on the wall and an Optimus Prime action figure standing guard by his computer.

Vijay Mohan is a powerful writer and communicator with a Bachelor's Degree of Journalism from Ryerson University. Having opted to pursue his dreams of a music career after his studies, Vijay has seen his share of struggles and uncertainty. Wishing there was room on a resume for a section on tough life experience , Vijay is someone not afraid to share the lessons and cautions of pursuing an artistic life. He would also tell you that those struggles have given him an unrivaled inner strength that he would not trade for the world. To him, the many minimum-wage and back-breaking general labour jobs he worked to supplement his music career are not objects of regret, but badges of honour.

In Vijay Mohan's mind, age is just a number. Vijay is convinced that there is always the time to become the professional journalist he has always aspired to be.

Struggles aside, Vijay Mohan loves to have fun. A lover of science fiction, boxing, reading and dogs, Vijay Mohan combines his professionalism with a big, toothy smile.

I'm certified to be an apprentice Locksmith in the province of Ontario. Looking for an apprentice, anyone?
What's your favorite accomplishment?
I once got knocked out during a sparring session at my local boxing gym. It might not seem like an accomplishment, but the childhood version of me never would have imagined I'd have the courage to step in a ring and trade punches with someone.
How do you define cool?
If something is "cool", it is so interesting that I would consider not only copying it, but integrating it into who I am.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
The first step is to recognize that the Internet is enormous, and that trends are out there. To look past what everyone else is already talking about, look for the people and things that are struggling to get Internet attention, and give them some consideration. Are they cool? Are they worth writing about? You'll find the answer is most often 'yes'.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
We're going to see amazing innovations for paraplegics, what with the fancy exoskeleton technology on the horizon.
