The Zelda Cake by Karen Portaleo is Insanely Detailed and Life-Like

The Zelda Cake by Karen Portaleo and the Highland Bakery is an incredible work of art--edible art, that is. Although some people will mistake it for a life-like statue, and who can blame them with that level of artistry and detail, it is in reality a cake. Created by the same masterminds behind the amazing octopus cake, many will want to encase it with glass rather than gobble it up.

Created for an event for Kate's Club in Atlanta, the Zelda Cake by Karen Portaleo is life-sized and served 200 people. According to the baker, it "is half Peach Cake soaked in bourbon, the other half is vanilla cake with a salted caramel buttercream."
