The Zeiss VR One is a virtual reality headset that leverages your smartphone's processing power and display to create a wireless and fully self-contained virtual reality experience. The product is similar to the Samsung Gear VR but is compatible with a wider range of smartphones, including the iPhone 6.
The Zeiss VR One will be released along with a companion app which allows users to view images and videos saved on their smartphone in addition to YouTube clips.Users can scroll through media by tapping the right and left sides of their headset. The software will even work with Google Maps' Streetview, allowing users to immerse themselves in 360 degree panoramas.
The Zeiss VR One is available for pre-order for only $99, and will likely begin shipping by the end of 2014.
