Yoostar is the new video service that lets you be whoever you want to be – provided they are a character in a popular movie.

The Yoostar game system, made by the Yoostar consumer media company, allows you to insert your own image into your favorite movies, so you can kick butt being Rocky Balboa or creep people out as the killer in Saw.

For the price of $169, players receive a kit which includes a tripod, web-quality video camera, and portable green screen to use in the re-enactment of their favorite movie scenes. Players can also log on to Yoostar.com to access more clips, upload their own, rate others’ clips, and compete in talent contests.

To date, Yoostar has formed licensing agreements with the movie-mogul likes of Paramount, Universal, MGM, the WB, and Sesame Workshop – effectively securing about 8,000 movie scenes and television clips which last between one and three minutes each.

Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, President and CEO of Yoostar Entertainment Group "is truly the next big thing in social entertainment. It will create a whole new kind of entertainment experience around movies and TV that is immersive, personalized, social and amazingly fun."
