Yield Guild Games was founded by Gabby Dizon who drew inspiration from other blockchain-based games like Leisure Economy and Axie Infinity. “A lot of people are desperate to earn money,” said Dizon. “I thought this was something that was scalable, the idea of playing to earn in a gaming guild that cooperates with communities around the world. The guild can play different games that have economies backed by blockchain. The time is ripe for this.”
