Kidrobot has opened its first-ever store gallery in Selfridges. I’m so excited--here’s a trend I get to indulge in! According to the Kidrobot website, they are the world’s "premier creator and retailer of limited edition art toys, apparel and accessories." (Read: "grown-up boys’ toys.")
The store will feature lots of limited-edition merchandise and ultra-exclusive new releases such as Kidrobot’s Ye Olde English Dunny Series. I love the Japanese-inspired take on the UK--the series includes lots of rain references, striped suits and umbrellas.
This is a collection of 17 of art toys designed by top UK artists such as ilovedust, Clutter, Triclops, Jon Burgerman, and TADO. Kidrobot has also created an exclusive Kidrobot 16--known as as UK Punk, this uber-rare figure (limited to 300) comes complete with a Union Jack paint job and a studded belt.
