Minimalist Athletica Lookbooks

Yasya Minochkina’s SS 2014 Lookbook is a Workout Motivator

The Yasya Minochkina SS 2014 lookbook favors sculpted silhouettes, pastel hues and a minimalist aesthetic. Each photograph, shot by Romain Bernardie James, is inspired by workout discipline. The models do reverse pushups, weight lift reps and squats without breaking a sweat. Minochkina’s clean lines are reminiscent of work out gear, but her choice in fabrics (wet silk, wool and polyamide, among others) suggest that it’s probably not a replacement for your faithful yoga pants and cotton t-shirts.

However, if you’re lounging at the country club, Minochkina’s tennis skirts, windbreakers, sneakers and floppy hats are definitely chic, sporty options. Next time you have some downtime for a friendly tennis match or quick rooftop mojito, consider donning one of Minochkina’s cropped trousers or athletic-inspired jumpers and track jackets.
