Y-3 Warrior High 'Kimono' Draws Inspiration from Traditional Garments

Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas are at it once again with the Y-3 Warrior High 'Kimono,' which revamps the classic boot with a look that draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese garment.

The Y-3 Warrior High Kimono boots are a military-style shoe that blends modern and traditional looks wonderfully. The upper is constructed neoprene material which is then outlined by Nappa leather. Of course, the main attraction for the boots are the beautiful floral patterns that are actually taken from antique kimono prints. Adidas has also utilized its adiPRENE and adiPRENE+ for cushioning and comfort for the wearer. Another nice detail is the shank on the sole which is shaped in a 'Y' as a nod to the brand's name and it also brings stability to the wearer.
