Biz 3.0's Work Infographic Shows Common Time-Wasters

This work infographic by Biz 3.0 shows the common activities that people partake in on the job that wastes what could have been productive working time. The infographic looks specifically at the top three time-wasting activities: chatting with co-workers, non-work related surfing on the Internet and ‘useless’ meetings.

According to the infographic, the number one time waster is chatting with co-workers. 14% of employees waste the most time chatting at the office water cooler. If they cut out the trip to the water cooler, their productivity would vastly increase. The infographic also states that 64% of employees visit non-work related websites every day; unsurprisingly, social networks are the most commonly visited sites during work hours. The most surprising of all is that 91% of employees believe their meetings are "useless" and admitted to daydreaming during most of them.
