Nike's Women's SB Bruin High is the First Women-Focused Skate Shoe

Nike has introduced its first women's SB Bruin High, in recognition of the female skateboarders, who have minimal access to stylish skater-friendly clothing lines.

This modified SB Bruin has been re-designed with female athletes in mind, resulting in enhanced comfort and improved fit. The incredibly fashionable shoe maintains all the style requirements, without sacrificing the flexibility, durability and movement that's needed for athletic performance. The shoes reportedly allow for a more sculptured fit, which is achieved with a "shallower forefoot and a more tapered heel than the typical men’s."

Available in a variety of colors the women-focused shoes hope to provide more comfort for existing skateboarders, while encouraging other young women to enter the skate scene.
