This stylish necklace doubles as a storage device for feminine hygiene products.

Designer Katarina Hornwall wanted to create something that women could bring around in case of a menstruation-related emergency. The piece is made from solid aluminum and brass bars, and its shape resembles its proposed content -- a tampon.

Hornwall came up with the product during discussions of why hygiene products are always secretive and hidden. Hornwall instead challenges this notion and makes the feminine product a prominent stylish fixture.

Hung on a simple gold chain, the Tampon holder can also be used to store like-sized objects, and can act as a stylish piece even on its own. To create even more interest, the split line to open the device makes it also look like a bullet.
