Passenger-Curated Wine Programs

Delta Lets SkyMiles Members Help Select Onboard Wines

Delta is making premium inflight dining more participatory through passenger-curated wine programs that incorporate travelers directly into the selection process. For the first time, Delta and Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson invited SkyMiles members to participate in blind tastings that helped shape a portfolio of 13 wines from 11 winery partners. The collection emphasizes Napa Valley alongside international wine regions, with each selection evaluated for qualities such as freshness, balance, texture and versatility under unique inflight conditions.

Bringing customers into product curation can help Delta create premium offerings that more closely reflect passenger preferences while strengthening SkyMiles engagement. The program also gives participating wineries exposure to travelers across Delta's network. By connecting wine with destinations, storytelling and member participation, Delta can differentiate Delta One beyond traditional seating and service features while creating a more memorable hospitality experience.
