Arla Foods Ingredients has announced a new whey protein hydrolysate that addresses a number of key challenges related to peptide-based medical nutrition. The ingredient, called Lacprodan DI-3092, is reported to deliver 10-grams of protein per 100ml that's positioned as much higher than the typical six or seven-grams that's found in similar products. The solution is reported to have a mild taste, low viscosity and an easily digestible profile for make it suitable for patients with impaired gastrointestinal functions or issues related to nutrient absorption.
