Arla Foods' New Fitness Beverage Blends Whey with Electrolytes

Arla Foods Ingredients has officially unveiled a new concept for a functional beverage aimed at the fitness community. The new drink, which has yet to receive an official name, has been purposefully formulated to assist with muscle recovery and dehydration. The company has achieved this by pairing high-quality electrolytes with a whey protein isolate called Lacprodan SP-9213.

“This is a combination that many of our customers have asked us for, and we’re delighted to help them meet two of the biggest needs in the sports nutrition space,” says Mathias Toft Vangsoe, sales development manager for health and performance nutrition at Arla Foods Ingredients.

The new beverage contains 25 grams of Lacprodan SP-9213 and comes in a 500 ml bottle. In addition, it features a low-lactose and low-sugar formula, making it suitable for most diets.
