WhatsApp Beta Has Added a Picture-In-Picture Mode

The WhatsApp Beta updates showcase what the messaging app could be included on a permanent basis in the future. The latest version has adopted a capability for users to view videos in a picture-in-picture mode for media that was sent through the messaging app.

This would allow users to enter and exit chats while video continues to play on the screen. When users play videos from a chat, they will see who sent it so users know the video's origins. The feature on Beta can be used for either group chats or person-to-person chats.

Picture-in-picture mode has been teased by the messaging app before, and currently, the feature is only accessible in WhatsApp Beta.
