Couture-Sponsored Short Films

This Wes Anderson Short Film is Brought to You by Prada

Prada has sponsored a Wes Anderson short film entitled Castello Cavalcanti.

This Wes Anderson short film stars Jason Schwartzman as Jed Cavalcanti, a formula one racer who crashes his car in a small Italian village and discovers family he never expected to find. The film takes place in September of 1955 and features the look, humor, quirky feel and rapid dialogue one would come to expect in a Wes Anderson movie, just condensed into an eight minute package.

This is not the first time Prada and Anderson have teamed up; it seems to be a pattern on the part of the Italian fashion label that financed a short film by Polanski last year. As long as Prada keeps sponsoring things of this caliber—like this Wes Anderson short film—I’m all for it.
