Walgreens PharmStart Offers Online Education for Team Members

Walgreens PharmStart is a new first-of-its-kind online education program from the pharmacy created for team members to help them level up their skills and education in a fully funded manner. Created through a partnership with Guild, the program provides team members with the tools they need to meet the prerequisites for pharmacy school, which will help to break down the barriers that can exist for many. The program will roll out to more than 300 team members across six states to start and is being offered now for team members to apply for.
Chief Pharmacy Officer Rick Gates spoke on the Walgreens PharmStart program saying, "Becoming a pharmacist was a lifelong dream, but the cost of tuition always loomed in the back of my mind. Today, we’re continuing to chip away at those financial burdens, ensuring team members can pursue their passion for pharmacy without the burden of debt being a barrier to success.”
