If you have ever wondered what it would be like to taste a donut and waffle hybrid, DK Donuts is with you. Inspired by the original WOW-nut created by Waffles Cafe in Chicago, the Los Angeles-based bakery offers their own spin on the decadent dessert mashup.
Even though it might look like a regular dessert waffle at first glance, the waffle hybrid is also deep fried and and comes with a variety of toppings. "LA's first half waffle and half donut hybrid" comes in regular and mini sizes as well as in flavors like cinnamon sugar with fresh strawberries (the original), red velvet, birthday sprinkles, purple yam (common in Filipino sweets) and chocolate with Oreo crumbles.
