BIFF's VR Cinema Event Elevates Entertainment With Cutting-Edge Technology

Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) launched a VR cinema event series that lets film fans experience the future of entertainment. The family-friendly theater section consists of three parts -- "VR Movie, VR Movie Live and VR Movie Experience."

While the VR Movie portion features a 40 minute long short film, VR Movie Live is a 30 minute session which features a variety of short films that are consumed after the other in one go. Lastly, VR Movie Experience spotlights VR movies that are filled with interactive elements involving the audience.

Taking the film watching experience to new heights, Busan International Film Festival's VR Cinema event series showcases the versatility of virtual reality software and its many uses in the entertainment world. Going beyond visual effects to spotlight audience involvement, this activation speaks to consumers' growing desire for personalized entertainment thanks to VR's ability to " provide each audience member with his or her own perspective."
