Voices into Action is an free, online secondary school program that explores issues of human rights and social justice in Canada. Operating on an ethos that hatred and intolerance have no place in Canada, the program aims to educate people in a move towards positive change.
The curriculum covers material on gender, homophobia, disability rights, the Holocaust and other genocides, the Aboriginal experience, the black experience, Islamophobia and immigration, among other issues. As of right now, Voices into Action has reached 100,000 students, building upon the success of the school-wide 'Choose Your Voice' program, which has been implemented in schools all over Canada since 2005.
Voices into Action is a powerful initiative that raises awareness about bigotry, prejudice and discrimination that is all too often ignored, ultimately creating dialogue and safe places for all.
