Fur has been a controversial issue in the fashion world in recent years, but the Vogue Japan 'Furry Affair' editorial dares to defy restrictions with its celebration of the material.
Photographed by Emma Summerton, the editorial is set within a contemporary concrete structure with winding paths. Model Catherine McNeil's mile long legs make each furry ensemble look glamorous and sophisticated rather than an issue that should be brought up with PETA. She wears her black hair in a blunt bob and finishes off her look with bold dark red lips. I especially love how McNeil resists the camera's gaze, giving the series a mysteriously sensual feel.
The Vogue Japan 'Furry Affair' photo shoot may stir up some heated discussions, but it's hard to deny the decadence captured in each and every image.
