Maison Martin Margiela Menswear Modeled Behind 2-Way Mirrors

— January 25, 2009 — Fashion
You can always count on fashion house Maison Martin Margiela to present the unexpected; nevertheless, this season they took inspiration from the movie ‘The Usual Suspects,’ using a lineup of fashion criminals--and a two-way mirror, no less--as a backdrop for their menswear collection runway presentation in Paris.

This is rather unusual for a fashion show, which makes the choice of a police lineup brilliantly original and in line with the Margiela ethics. The collection was lovely and very wearable with a color scheme of blues, browns, blacks, and whites sewn into tailored suits, dinner jackets and very cool leather jackets, as pictured above. I am loving this Unusual Suspects fashion statement.
