Usit by Maarten Olden, a designer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is a hybrid piece of furniture that combines a stepladder with a chair. Inspired by the idea of revamping the traditional stepladder, which often looks too utilitarian for the home, the Dutch designer created a doubly practical product that somehow manages to look more laid-back for it. He notes, "[T]hey are quickly returned to storage after being used. Although it is collapsible, the Usit doesn't have to be packed away."

Created for Altrex, Usit by Maarten Olden fits into a contemporary interior seamlessly. Not to mention that it comes in handy when extra seating it needed. Particularly useful for smaller living spaces, it nevertheless suits any home due to its functional properties and stylish look.
