Used Model 3 Cars Will Be Sold by Tesla Online

Previously, Tesla's Used Model 3 Cars were only available for purchase from previous owners. Tesla will make a move to now sell these cars on its website. The cars are currently available online in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a rough $40,000 price point for 2017 Long Range models.
As the market for electric cars continues to grow, so does the second-hand market. However, the resales of electric vehicles bring unique challenges, as safety is a concern for the company that may look to regulate the second-hand sale of its vehicles. Before the used model 3 cars can be sold, they must go through a 70-point inspection. After the inspection, one of two warranty options are available, the first is a four-year 50,000-mile warranty, and the second is a two-year 10,000-mile warranty.
