Pizza-Themed Museums

The 'US Pizza Museum' Will Celebrate the Cheesy Italian Dish

On April 3rd, Chicago will host a food-centric exhibit called the 'US Pizza Museum.' Although pizza is a traditional Italian dish, the savory pie has become a staple for many Americans. This museum celebrates the legacy of pizza in America with all sorts of pizza-themed memorabilia.

The US Pizza Museum is the brainchild of Kendall Burns, who has been collecting pizza-themed artwork for quite some time. Burns will be putting his collection on display as part of Chicago's 30-day-long Pizza Summit, which brings together pizza aficionados from all over. While the museum is not permanent, the exhibit will be temporarily housed inside the Chop Shop restaurant, which is attached to Chicago's Wicker Park. As far as what visitors can expect to see, the exhibit will feature a wide variety of pizza-themed items, including toys, menus, advertisements and artwork.
