Dream Hipster retailer Urban Outfitters are expanding from just a store to an Urban Outfitters ‘village’ or lifestyle experience. Located in a suburban community of Philadelphia and tentatively titled ‘Devon Yard,’ this retail experiment will cover 6.5 acres of ground, which will hold a Terrain garden store, a boutique hotel that holds up to 93 occupants, an Anthropologie and a spa.
Chief Development officer of the company, Dave Ziel, described the new venture by saying, “we’re expanding our bricks-and-mortar retail experience to a lifestyle experience that will meet the taste level of the Devon community.”
This cozy little Lifestyle village allows visitors to literally eat, sleep and breathe Urban Outfitters – or at least do all of those things without leaving its cushy confines.
