Asics and mental health charity Mind are turning the streets of Retford in Nottinghamshire into an urban gym to inspire people to move their bodies and better their minds. After a challenging few years, Asics found that Nottinghamshire is the English county where people rated their mental state the lowest, with 80% of people saying they'd benefit from a mental boost.

To motivate residents to improve themselves, physically and mentally, the partnering companies are inviting people to participate in movement initiatives like exercise pop-ups. Using the Asics mind uplifter tool, people can measure their state of mind before and after a 20-minute exercise circuit. Data collected from this tool will feed into a live global study that shows the positive impact of sports on the collective mood of global cities.
