This Unique Family Portrait was Coordinated Around a Lightning Strike
Laura McQuarrie — October 16, 2014 — Tech
If you think there's something uncool about posing for a family photo, this unique family portrait by photographer Kelly DeLay might cause you to change your mind. Rather than heading out solo to chase a storm, DeLay decided to take his family with him for the first time on an adventure. Chasing the storm was an eight-hour trip that needed to be quickly coordinated within about 10 minutes in order to escape the oncoming rain, lighting, wind and hail.
Over the course of a year, DeLay has been posting a photo of a cloud each day as part of his five-year Clouds 365 project. To culminate the photo series, this fun family photo was used, serving as an epic way to wrap up the project and an unforgettable family adventure.
