Conrad Maldives Rangali Island are Building a Unique Experience

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island announced a project to develop the world's first underwater residence, providing guests with a one-of-a-kind travel experience. The luxurious endeavor is named 'The Muraka,' which translates to "coral" from Dhivehi.

The luxe underwater residence is comprised of two floors. While the upper level contains a sizable bedroom, bathroom, gym, powder room, living room, kitchen, bar and dining space, as well as quarters for the butler and security staff, the lower "undersea" floor boasts a king-sized bedroom, living area and a bathroom — all with a more tranquil ambiance. The two floors of the underwater residence are connected via a spiral staircase and guests are able to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the deck that is designed for "optimal viewing pleasure."
