tZERO, a subsidy of Overstock, recently revealed a prototype of a security token trading platform that allows users to easily and efficiently trade codes in a safe and secure manner. The prototype would work in conjunction with tZERO's existing platform, which features a matching engine, proprietary technology, security support, risk management, and order management.
Through the platform, users can buy security tokens, which can then be tracked, sold, and used to place orders. What's especially great about the prototype is that it prevents users from buying with cash that they don't have, or selling token that they don't yet own. The prototype is expected to launch in May, however tZERO is still awaiting approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
