Creamy Pineapple Slushies

Sonic's New Tropical Cream Slush is Made with Vanilla Soft Serve

Following the announcement that it would be bringing back the fan favorite Red, White & Blue Slush Float ahead of the FIFA World Cup, Sonic has also announced the launch of a brand new drink option: the Tropical Cream Slush.

Perfect for hot summer days, the new Tropical Cream Slush features a creamy blend of Pineapple and Coconut Slush, along with a swirl of sweet vanilla soft serve. Real pineapple pieces are then added in for "a cool, creamy escape in every sip." As some fans have suggested, the new flavor is similar to Dole Whip.

As Barbara Williams, Vice President of Culinary Innovation & Category Management at SONIC, says of the new offerings "From the beloved Red, White, & Blue Slush Float to tropical-inspired creations that bring sweet heat and creamy coolness, these drinks and bites are made for celebrating, sharing, and soaking up the season.”

Sectors Adopting This

Quick-service Restaurants
Seasonal frozen beverage launches give restaurant chains a flexible platform for traffic-driving innovation without requiring major kitchen infrastructure changes.
Frozen Desserts
Soft serve is gaining new relevance as a mix-in component for beverages, opening crossover opportunities between ice cream, slush, smoothie, and float categories.
