Brightly Lit Transparent Buildings

CO Architects Features a Glazed Facility in Kansas City

Built for the University of Kansas' Medical Center campus, this transparent building is cutting-edge not only in terms of functionality but also with regard to aesthetic integrity. The structure features a dominantly geometric composition that is strongly illuminated — a feature that is particularly striking in the night time.

The facility is a designated spot that serves the university's "medical, nursing, and allied health programs" and contributes with spaces for "classrooms, simulation labs, clinical skills rooms, and student life space." Its state-of-the-art aesthetic is bound to bring immense value to the operations of the University of Kansas. Los Angeles-based design studio CO Architects worked alongside Helix Architecture + Design in the conceptualization and curation of the transparent building.
