The 'Touchtunes: 2012 Year End Charts' infographic tracks the plays of certain songs, genres or artists over the past year. As 2012 winds to a close we look back on the most popular songs of the year. With the number one song of the year, Jason Aldean topped the charts with 'Dirt Road Anthem.' Overwhelmingly, however, rock was the top dog in the genre category with 47.28% of the plays.

The infamous 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen was the favorited song by the TouchTunes app users for 2012. According to the Touchtunes: 2012 Year End Charts infographic, Hurricane Sandy brought an incredible amount of listeners to PSY's 'Ganghan Style.' Finally, and thankfully, though Chris Brown and Rihanna are reportedly back together, Brown is greatly lagging behind the pop diva's 2012 hits.
