Even today, toasters keep their methods a mystery. This timer toaster has been designed to shed some light on the process of browning your bread by providing the user with a countdown clock. A dial next to it gives you some indication of the level of crisping, and a the digits on the small screen next to it demonstrate the time that to which that will equate.
Pierre Schwenke's timer toaster takes a conventional sort of form and function, but the incorporation of a couple of small elements makes it so much more user-friendly. With this design, two of the most common frustrations are tackled, involving the burning of bread and the scorching of fingers when removing hot slices. To solve the latter, a pair of tongs are hidden in the handle.
