Thinkstock is a service that features royalty-free photographs and illustrations from sources including iStockphoto, Getty Images and Jupiterimages.

With more than five million user photographs, subscribers are able to find whatever images suit their needs best. Thinkstock has begun testing a Social Art Buyer program, which enables a user to contact their Twitter account (@Thinkstock) in order to request specific images.

Implications - The explosion of blogging and other forms of online writing and photography have created a copyright conundrum. Not all content creators understand copyright law, and even fewer are willing to pay professional photographers for the perfect image. Royalty-free stock image websites offer a legal solution to the photo quandary that pleases all parties.
