The Toyota Concept-i has undergone design changes ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The company will supply approximately 3,700 vehicles for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, most of which will be electrically powered.
The vehicles will be used to transport athletes and staff members around the Olympic and Paralympic villages. One of the vehicles will be the Toyota Concept-i, which is battery-powered and has level four autonomous driving abilities. It has also been selected as the vehicle that will carry the Olympic torch in the torch relay, and will also be the vehicle to lead the marathon.
The Olympics will be a great stage for Toyota to show off its new technological capabilities, as well as the future direction of the company.
