Gibbs, a UK-based company, is responsible for this bad ass, amphibious vehicle. It resembles a humvee but, differentiates itself quickly by going 100 mph on land and then, with the push of a button, planing across the waves at 40 mph.
Implications - Consumers want more out of their money so hybrid products are ultra appealing to them. By being able to purchase a vehicle that can go on both land and sea, the target demographic of this product is solving two needs with one purchase. Other industries and businesses should look closely at this hybridization trend to see how they can apply it to their products and services.
