The Holzbank is a wooden bench designed to look as natural as possible. Created by Thomas Schnur, this bench is made using untreated larch. Larch is known as a tough and durable wood, able to withstand even the harshest of winter conditions. In case you were wondering, Holzbank is German for wooden bench.

Schnur's use of natural materials gives this bench something of a natural, designer look. On the one hand, the bench is smooth and shapely, which removes it from nature. On the other hand, the wood is untreated, and will change color naturally if left outside. Designers have responded in force to the global eco awakening. Nowadays, there are tons of pieces designed just like the Holzbank. These pieces have an advantage over artificial designs, which won't biodegrade if left in landfills.
