The Doll's House photo series doesn't revolve around a typical toy for girls. Instead, it chronicles a day in the life of a living doll, 14-year-old model Alexandra. Her youthful features, big eyes and porcelain skin are everything that would be found in a doll's look and demeanor. Alternating between adorable and creepy, the blonde beauty's blank stares are mesmerizing just the same.
Lensed by Paris-born, New York-based photographer Remi Rebillard, The Doll's House photo series may be hauntingly dream-like, but there is nothing nightmarish about it. Instead, it is simply dark and gritty, with the occasional disturbing shot. Beauty artist Marianne Tamposi perfected the doll-like looks with heavily mascaraed lashes, rosy cheeks and straight hair. The lingerie-inspired ensembles were put together by stylist Lawnette Lucille for a more mature appeal.
