The Dogist's Book Features 1,000 Photographs of Dogs

The Dogist is the alias name of New York City-based photographer Elias Weiss Friedman, who photographs dogs of all shapes, sizes and colors before sharing them with his legions of followers. His new photo-book features a thousand images of canines of all stripes.

Each dog photographed by the Dogist has its own story to tell. Some of the subjects are dogs that were rescued from fighting rings and are struggling to overcome the abuse and violence they suffered. Others still are therapy dogs that have helped people with different illnesses and disabilities to go about their normal lives safely. There are athletic dogs, preppy dogs, small dogs and gentle old dogs.
