Miller Farms, a fourth-generation, community-driven business in Connecticut, recently launched a new initiative aimed to support families in need, called the 'Thankful Turkey.' For every turkey purchased, one will be given to a family in need this Thanksgiving through Fooshare, a local Feeding America food bank partner. So far, Miller Farms has already donated 2,500 turkeys by bringing together its community.
Miller-Stevens commented on the initiative, stating: "What’s happening in the world created the right environment for it. Americans love Thanksgiving turkey, and the demand for ethically and small-farm-raised meat has increased. At the same time, online shopping is here to stay, and consumers are gravitating toward more meaningful purchases. They want to know their dollars will make a difference.”
