Retro Digital Pet Collaborations

Bandai Teamed with Sanrio for Gudetama Tamagotchi

Tamagotchi’s were are digital pets that grew as long as the player took care of them. The Gudetama Tamagotchi allows the player to feed it soy sauce and tomatoes, play games with it, and put it to bed. Players must evolve and raise Baby Gudetama to unlock eight different adult Gudetama versions and 20 kinds of egg dishes.

The Gudetama Tamagotchi comes in two colors ‘White with Many Gudetamas’ and ‘Yellow Gudetama.’ Players can also choose a case for their Tamagotchi which comes in a sitting Gudetama case or an egg case.

The Tamagotchi started in 1996 which would make it 25 this year. It has greatly evolved from its simple pet care origins to now allowing players to not only care for their Tamagotchi but also take pictures and go on missions with them.

The Gudetama Tamagotchi’s are available on Amazon.
