Tableware-Inspired Pet Bowls

Estudio Gris Combines Food and Water in One Ceramic Dog Bowl

Estudio Gris created the 'Origen' pet bowl to give dogs a feeding setup that fits neatly in the home, combining food and water in a single ceramic piece. Designed by Gustavo Rodríguez and Estefanía Agudelo in Medellín, Colombia, it trades overt pet styling for the quieter look of tableware.

The main version uses two feeding areas, with an elongated water basin and a raised circular food bowl at one end. A separate round bowl repeats the same thick walls and matte charcoal finish, while the heavier ceramic build is intended to keep the pieces from shifting during meals.

The tableware-like ceramic form moves pet accessories toward simplicity, where bowls left on the floor are expected to work with the room rather than interrupt it. The matching double and single formats extend the idea for households that keep food and water together or in separate spots.
