If you are in the Austin, Texas, area anytime soon and consider yourself somewhat of a Yogi, then you have to try your hand at SUP ATX Yoga. SUP ATX Yoga is the complicated way of saying paddle board yoga, a new yoga sensation that has taken the Texas capital by storm.
Doing yoga on a paddle board may sound hard, but it actually looks quite easy as the video here from a local Austin news network shows. Of course, looks can be deceiving -- one participant falls from her board into the water during a segment while another does a headstand on top of his board! Regardless of the difficulty level, SUP ATX Yoga looks like nothing I have ever seen before, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see it take off around the country. With summer in full swing and many states sweltering, yoga on the water doesn't sound like a bad way to get a workout.
