It seems graphic designers can’t help but keep churning out minimalist movie posters to demonstrate their skills, and Subhajyoti Ghosh is getting in on the action by producing his own film promos which feature simplistic, yet descriptive icons. Whether it’s a bloody samurai sword to denote Kill Bill or the Penrose steps to represent Inception, Ghosh manages to convey significant plot points of each film without illustrating expansive scenes. It definitely speaks of Ghosh’s creativity to be able to undertake such a task and do it so well.
Subhajyoti Ghosh titles his collection ‘Less is More,’ which is definitely a concept many top designers subscribe to. Other movies featured in Ghosh’s series include The Departed, Se7en, The Pursuit of Happyness, Munich, The Godfather and The Dark Knight.
