Employee Connection-Emphasizing Workspaces

Studio Alexander Fehre Showcases the Herzzone Project

Studio Alexander Fehre's 'Herrzone' project for Roche Diagnostics introduces an innovative solution to fostering a stronger sense of identity and connection among remote and on-site employees. Responding to Roche Diagnostics' emotional and conceptual request for a space that enhances employee bonds, Studio Alexander Fehre created a hybrid communal area within the Ludwigsburg branch of the company.

Herrzone is a "house within a house" concept that features four wooden structures, blending seamlessly with the existing production hall. These structures serve various functions, from enclosed workspaces to open areas for team events. The ground floor, designed as a terrace with wooden decks and carpets, promotes lively exchanges between production and administrative areas. The interior design encourages spontaneous interactions, creating a marketplace-like atmosphere that facilitates a more natural community culture.
