French designer Philippe Starck has left his restaurant and furniture business behind and has instead moved towards expanding his experience in the clothing industry.
He will be teaming up with Ballantyne, a Scottish cashmere brand, to create a limited sweater collection for men and women.
Will taking over the world be Philippe Starck’s next move?
Implications - Collaborations provide an appeal to fans of both brands, generating a much larger consumer base when compared to the individual brand fan bases on its own. Businesses that collaborate with other companies are often at an advantage due to the fact that both it and the other companies involved benefit from the rewards that are attained.
