Contemporary wear label Resort Corps grabbed the attention of the public and designer retailers with a somewhat controversial and thought-provoking commentary on street culture fashion. Last year, the brand's founder Luca Modesti shared that "physical subcultures have completely disappeared" from present day context and the only path to genuine self-expression is "by wearing references from older subcultures."
In the Fall/Winter 2018 capsule, Resort Corps taps into this idea of loss of individuality and produces a line of street culture fashion silhouettes with predominant nostalgic vibes and recycled designs. A testimony to a new youth movement, where "subcultures exists only as memories," the street culture fashion capsule features heavy-duty fabrics on combat trousers with faded military prints, bold red beanie hats and 90s-inspired athletic apparel.
